Another Coalition Mantra. This time just for the NHS patients awaiting a hip replacement on a three-year ‘waiting list’.
Of course ‘The Lansley Mantra’ bears no relevance whatsoever to the employment rights of all those who have a duty of care over these patients, such as nurses and support staff.
They will just have to wait and sweat it out to see if they still have a job at the end of the day.
If ’Davy Smart’s Coalition Circus’ offered a true Mantra for many NHS staff it would probably be,
‘Work very long shifts for crap pay whilst we give your local GP’s the job of telling you there isn’t enough money to pay you anyway’.
