One-in-Five

SCABS!

The ratio that the government claims will be the public workers response to today’s union inspired official one-day strike.

What started off as industrial action by teachers and school support staff has now escalated into ‘all-out’ action that was once ‘all the rage’ some thirty and forty years ago.

This is why June 30th is probably the best day so far to smuggle something or someone through Customs or bunk off school. Mainly because in both cases there aren’t likely to be the usual ‘eagle eyes’ on the gates.

With Britain lurching towards yet another ‘winter of discontent’ and Michael Gove pushing his head even further up his own backside in wishing all children to study Maths from the age of four to eighteen, all that we can do is keep on trucking towards that retirement.

You know, RETIREMENT?

That one thing that we also lurch towards yet will probably never reach. Mainly because they keep moving the damn thing ever further away from the age we are now.

That reminds me….. have you dropped off/collected your kid(s) from their grandparents yet?
