The Voice UK Tour

‘The Voice’ was the Cowell-less talent show franchise that cost the BBC millions of pounds of licence payers money to purchase.

It immediately belly flopped itself this Spring straight into the bottom of TV viewing figures table.

Hardly the BBC’s greatest hour. In fact, no hour at all.

Its demise was not helped by its many barmy looking contestants.

One called ‘Becky Hill’ (sounds like a station on the Northern Line) even swore live on air during one Saturday tea time screening.

It was hampered even further by its extrovert egotistical judges.

I bet Holly Willoughby regrets leaving her 13 week job on ITV’s ‘Dancing On Ice’ for this 8 week ‘Turkey’.

Even more so now that ‘The Voice’ national tour featuring the last eight finalists has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Even the winner’s single couldn’t sell enough copies to make the ‘Top 40′!

This series was a short-lived visual disaster from start to finish.

But it never gave up its dream to showcase wannabes that could so easily have been featured and immediately rejected at the audition stage of ‘The X Factor’ or ‘Cowell’s Got Royalties’.

And as for the future of the twelve finalists of this year’s ‘The Voice UK’…..

‘Do you want fries with that?’
