British foul-mouthed comedian who (according to the Prime Minister) is ‘immoral’ for avoiding income tax through a ‘loop hole’ in the Law.
Carr is in the public eye, takes the ‘pee’ out of a lot of people (including fat cat bankers) and earns a lot of money via television work and ‘Stand-Up’ concerts.
Now it’s Jimmy Carr’s turn to have his name, fame and shame put through the meat mincer via his involvement in the perfectly legal (at the moment) ‘K2′ off-shore tax avoidance scheme.
But what makes me think that Carr is only the tip of the iceberg?
My guess is that there a lot more famous names going to be found dodging tax bills via ‘K2′ and these will undoubtably include a few Tory voter mates of the Camerons who may or may not be deemed ‘morally wrong’ too.
But at least we now know why The Queen didn’t give Gary Barlow a knighthood or publicly congratulate him or Jimmy Carr following her little evening bash at her pad.
I’m sure David Cameron had been told about their shenanigans with K2 long before he took his seat at the Jubilee Concert.
As the members of ‘Take That’ sing… ‘Today this could be…. the day we all dodge our tax’.
TAX? WHAT TAX? My bank’s in the Channel Islands!
