That’ll be Lord Sebastian Tory-Coe then!
David Cameron is very keen to impress upon you how Great Britain’s recent success at winning Olympic medals is very much linked to his progress with the nation’s economy.
Which is utter cobblers in three particular ways.
1. Our athletes have shown great progress over the past couple of years which has shown the world what Britain can offer.
As opposed of course to the Cameron-Osborne cock-up where even the Bank of England admits to the government making ‘no progress at all’ on the economic front.
2. Our athletes won their medals without any sign of cheating or corruption.
As opposed to several London banks who have shown the world nothing but corruption, cheating and under-hand dealing.
3. Cameron feels so positive about us cheering home our athletes that he is prepared to pump well over £200 million and employ one of his best Tory mates (Coe) into producing even more young athletes to produce even more gold medals.
As opposed to this nation groaning under its own debt… and despite promises from him and the Conservatives that they will save taxpayers money, and are forced to make cuts in the Police and NHS and close down important youth and community projects.
Still…. at least thanks to Coe and Cameron some kids will know how to throw a spear at Police officers or jump a two and a half metre high garden fence after nicking your neighbour’s jewellery.
