Wonga.com being a company that, despite boasting an advert voiceover featuring nice Nicholas Parsons, charges customers well over 4000% APR to those foolish enough to borrow their cash.
Its customers therefore spend what few wages they earn ‘in the red’ with Wonga, rather than in ‘the black’ and in the Bank where their money should rest to ensure financial stability.
