The average daytime temperatures in Australia (England’s answer to ‘Alcatraz’) at the moment.
God knows what Britain would do in such temperatures.
Roads would melt, beer would run out and schools would undoubtably be forced to close.
But above all…. we would moan about it – and moan about it a lot!
In fact we would probably moan as much as we do about sub-zero temperatures.
Most of the moans will come from people over the age of sixty and rather ironically, even in such blistering heat and enforced dehydration, the very same people will refuse to remove their thick jacket, wool tie and tank-top.
