‘The Care Pathway’ is the current british coalition’s title for the NHS support scheme aimed at those approaching their final years on planet, ‘Earth’.
This scheme is particularly relevant to those in their more senior years and even more relevant to those on the Liverpool Care Pathway.
At many hospitals more than 50 per cent of all patients who died had been placed on Jeremy Hunt’s care pathway.
In one case the proportion of forseeable deaths on it was almost nine out of 10. On paper it must look like the role call for the building of Burma Railway!
And many more have allegedly been consigned to ‘Boot Hill’ – even though they could continue breathing for a few more years yet.
Health Minister (and (hand) bell end) Hunt described the scheme last Monday as, ‘another positive step’.
Anyone who studies the well-published findings of a leaked medical report to the Press could easily deduce that the ‘step’ Hunt spoke of last Monday is ‘another positive step’ towards reducing his NHS budget…
… or (in the case of those actually on ‘the care pathway’) ‘another positive step’ towards the crematorium incinerator.
