Ten years ago this was a pop group made up of five very nubile female teenagers, all brought together for a manufactured independent television show.
Today, they still survive as soldiers of fortune…..
In fact, despite one of them having a high profile marriage and divorce from a well-known footballer, another becoming the landlord of an Irish theme pub and another turning up on ‘Strictly Come Prancing’, our Anglo-Oyrish backing track girlies haven’t done too badly for themselves.
Their only problem is that they all now look a bit too old for the ‘pop world’. Despite their recent ‘rap’ single for ‘Children In Need’. They are all starting to look a bit ‘sad’ when it comes to teenage tastes.
They may have the best make-up artists and dress designers to hand, but they still look like a group of young mums been let out on their own for a night out on the ‘razzle’.
The arrival of their ‘Greatest Hits’ album suggests this might be their last ‘hurrah’ before they all end up having to meet after the ‘school run’ to share their latest ‘Lakeland’ purchases.
